Baudins Master Suite

Disappointed Positive: I travel more than half the year and I thought this property was over priced and due for a refurb. Soft bed, old linen, side tables both missing draw fronts. Negative: Breakfast include was Kellogg cornflakes etc, very basic and not food I regard as healthy.

Positive: Property would be ideal for a large extended family or close friends sharing multiple bedrooms which we would consider for another time given the opportunity. Facilities were very good and the bed quite comfy, although we were glad we had our own pillows. I wouldn't read that as a negative as I'm sure they would be fine for most, we are just picky! Continental breakfast was help yourself and there were plenty of cereal/juice/toast/tee/coffee options. Negative: Parking was a hassle for us when we found someone from the rear unit parked in our park at the front unit, but they did move it on request without issue. As long as guests respect the one car/room requirement of the owners, then all should be good. There were 5 vehicles in the rear unit which I'm sure was one too many. You could get 3 vehicles in the front unit, but this would require co-operation with other guests depending on departure times. I didn't rate this against the property, just mentioning it so people can be considerate.

Dirty, plenty of other places that are nicer. Positive: Location and television in room Negative: On the first night we stayed at this property, I returned from dinner at 9 pm and discovered all five car parking spots had been taken at the property, therefore leaving me no space to park our car. In the property policy it clearly states car parking is available on site. Why was there no car parking available? I phoned the number provided and after many attempts a woman answered and told me to park further along the main. Road in a public car parking available. I also disclosed other issues with the property and she reassured me someone would phone me. Nobody did. The bed had a stained top sheet cover and the shower head spits out water in all directions and wets your hair even if you try stand away from the shower head. The milk was off in the fridge and no fresh milk was available. Bread was old and after making a coffee with off milk I was not going to attempt the hard bread. The bedside cabinets- were broken on both sides with the bottom drawer leaning against the cabinet. This was dangerous and a hazard. We are quite disappointed as we carefully chose this property due to good reviews. As I have disclosed there are several problems with this property. This property is not as advertised and has been a big let down. We feel ripped off and disappointed.

Thoughtful, well organised BnB that was comfortable and close to everything. Positive: Close to main road and amenities, but quiet despite being near a main road. There were multiple rooms/accomodations on the property, with kitchen/dining areas shared, but there were multiple common areas to accommodate privacy. Your own private area was isolated and had everything you needed. Food and supplies were abundant and provided; lots of thoughtful details such as even a bit of Port in the kitchen. Negative: It is a bit of a tight squeeze with cars out the back, but all very doable.
